This truck was purchased new by Chad’s grandfather-in-law at Searcy Ford in Tupelo, Mississippi, where he lived and drove the vehicle daily until his passing. Since then it was been driven occasionally in the summer and stored in a heated garage.
We have the original build sheet, the original certificate of title and the Protect-o-Plate proving his wife’s grandfather is the original owner.
Built August 1969 at Ontario, Canada plant.
The driver and passenger doors and front fenders have the typical lower panel rust. At some point grandpa tried to slow the rust down by painting a few spots with a brush.
The frame & under-hood inside fenders are solid.
The odometer reads 47,942. When we acquired the truck after his passing, we were unsure whether or not the miles had rolled over. As such, in the interest of complete honesty since we didn’t know, we listed the miles as “exceeds mechanical limits” when we retitled it.
